Told my boss I had been working most evenings and so I was gonna take a few hours off on friday.  He told me...."Take the whole day"  so I was like "Sweet!!!" (but hubby still has to work )....

A few minutes later I get an email a that says take the couple of hours on friday then all of Monday....We are off on Tuesday (Bankers hours for Veteran's Day).....

Woo hoo.... 4 day weekend!!!!

Now where to go   I've been promising Hubby a Weekend for us (even if we ride there).  Looked to see if there were any 3 day cruises to mexico but they all start/end around my dates.

Want moderately warm...Somewhat romantic...within a days ride (not more then 300 miles or so)

You could ride up to the Madonna Inn... I hear it's romantic. Every room is themed. www.madonnainn.com/

Or maybe Cambria... Santa Barbara... San Diego and stay in the gaslamp district.

Palm Springs... then you can take the tram up the mountain and hike a bit. Great views.

Vegas is close at hand.

Lots of $99 flights

I would...but no offense to Primo....superslabing with a gang of guys for the weekend isn't really all that romantic

I'm not that kinda girl!

Bev:

Check out Solvang, Buelton, and Santa Barbarba. Some great roads in that area and Santa Ynez valley has some nice wineries to visit. Just don't do alot of tasting. Just order the case and have it shipped home.

Just trying to help out.

Ride Safe

Thinking of heading to the Palm Springs area...I've never really been there...might check out Joshua Tree NP and the Sulton Sea.

Bring a clothespin for your nose if you go to the Salton Sea...

The ride up and over the mountains through Cathedral City is nice.

The Tram up the mountain is cool and lots of hiking up there.  Snow too I'm sure by now.

It gets really really windy sometimes but nothing you can't ride in.

Wind just adds a bit of challenge.  Simi Valley means valley of the wind.....

Have to go get dressed...we are being lazy this morning...Palm Springs isn't too far so we a re picking routes to get out there besides the freeway.

Come to Las Vegas. I’ve been here for two weeks. The weather is beautiful. Red Rock Harley just opened and it’s the largest dealer in the Nation. It’s HUGE!!
