A lot of us know each other for different forums, or rides, or God know where.  I tried this on other boards and got a good response.  We can't all be cyber friends if we are all anonymous.  Be honest, you don't have to say or post anything you don't want to.

1.  I'm really Steve Brown

2.  Bought my first bike (a Triumph Thunderbird) when I was 16 in 1961.  Been on 2 wheels ever since

3.  Married for 38 years to Vesta

4.  We have 3 grown sons,  lost Mattie to heart disease last year, we really miss him

5.  Retired from AT&T after 30 rewarding and challenging years

6.  U.S. Air Force veteran,  served 1 1/2 tours in Viet Nam 1968 and 1969

7.  So far to the right I make Rush Limbaugh and John Birch look like commies

8.  Wife Vesta is recovering from Cancer treatment, and will be back on her Deluxe this year (she swears)

9.  I'm 63 years old, set in my ways, financially comfortable, and just a cranky old man

10.  Did I mention that I'm fat and ugly too?

OK,  it's your turn.  Remember, we can't be friends if we don't know anything about each other.

Thanks for jumping on board,  good to meet y'all

First,  Rhubarb, IS YOUR LIFE ABOUT TO CHANGE!  Congrats early.

It seems you, Bev and I are all "Propeller Heads" (what geeks used to be)  I am the retired Director of Interconnection Services for AT&T.  Most rewarding assignment was a 2 year rotation at Bell Labs.  Got to work on the initial programming for the first analog electronic switching machines.  This was way before laptops.  Used to joke I got my degree in Computer Sciences when the "Computer Gods" (Allan, Gates, Jobs & Wozniak) were in Jr. High School. A personal computer only took up 3 floors in a building.  COBOL was THE language of the day.  Most everything I did for AT&T, PacBell, or SBC was main frame stuff....yes, they are still around!

1. I use all three of my names William Dennis Campbell.  As a child it eliminated confusion in school because of being called by my middle name.  I never could answer roll call when the teacher said "Bill"

2. Roses (actually gardening in general) are my other hobby.

3. I made my hair mad, so it left.

4. My wife is 13-14 years older than me. (depending on the time of year)

5. I work in physical therapy.

6. I have an adjustable rate loan, and can't for the life of me figure out why all of these other people are having so much financial trouble and blaming it on their ARM loan.  My payments have dropped every year that I have been in this house.

7. I have no biological children that I know of.  However, I have 2 grown step children that I consider mine.  Truthfully they are closer to my age than my wife is.

8. I do have a little pup.  she is named caty and is 13 years old.  Poodle and dauchsund mix. I call her a doodle.

9. I am really frustrated by the economy putting the hurt on harley right now.  Just when they really perfected the type of bike they produce.  Yes I am very partial to the new 96/six speed.  You can love the older ones (pre-evo) all that you want, I admire them myself.  However, I have owned them and I say this new 2009 FXDL is unbelievable.  Absolutely none of the irritating problems of the previous models.  Oh and the heat??? Obviously if you are complaining about it you never rode a cast iron sporty.

10. I have difficulty carrying on conversations because I educate myself about an issue before opening my mouth about it.  People who spew their opinions with no knowledge of the facts drive me insane.  This comes from being raised by a school teacher.

1) My real name is Sharon but on most boards go by Shar.

3) I have no biological children, Kev's children from a previous marriage are it. Both are married and we have one grandson.

4) My first love is bikes but I also love cars too.

5) I worked for 20 some odd years as a dental assistant(got burned out), and now work in retail as a Nursery Lead.

7) I'm 54 years young but my body has a different opinion, I try not to listen.

8) While others may differ with this, I am really a very shy person.

9) I have always wanted to see Alaska for some unknown reason. Next year I may get to.

10) I have an '05 Dynalowrider. For various reasons I don't ride it alot .... I need a LOT of practice. I rode before (30+ years ago) and have lost a lot of my confidence. I don't do four lanes, mostly toodle around town.
