I have had these for about 6 months now. All I can say is "where have you been all my life!" These are great! I use them all the time. They not only keep my fingers from freezing up on cold days (been down to the teens), they act like a massager on long rides. I'm not going to say that my summer gloves and these keep my hands warm in the 20/30's, but they do keep them warm enough that they don't get stiff and they certainly don't hurt. I hate heavy gloves and this is just what I was looking for. At $99 and a 45minute install, they can't be beat. Install was really easy and the instructions were perfect. They have done well so far in the rain. They do draw quite a bit of power and if I use them in stop and go traffic with my gps and my passing lamps on I can see my headlight dimming some. Regular riding and all is good.

I've been looking for an alternative to the HD $200+ heated stuff.

So now I have both. Heat Demons on the softail and HD heated on the ultra (heat demons don't work with TBW)
They work about the same. I like the button better than the stiff dial on the grip end. HD has 6 settings, Heat Demons have 4. I use 2... Super Hot or a little warm
I like being able to have the grips of my choice as well.
So... I still rate them very highly.
Do note that I've had 0 issues with either and they both put out about the same amount of heat.

So what style grips did you go with on the Ultra?

Not sure yet. This bike isn't screaming for chrome like I thought it would.
