What is the most effective Drivetrain Stabilizer for your Harley-Davidson Touring Model? I would like to get one for my bike. I have heard there are several on the market. Does anyone have one installed on their bike?

09's have another mount which works similarly, but previous to that don't.
There is truetrak, ridestr8 and a few others. Some lower the ground clearance so watch out.
Bev has one, but not sure which one. She is happy.

I have "The Missing Link" made by a guy in Canada (Tracy at HDF) its the same thing as the ridestr8 only made of aluminum so less expensive. He hand makes them. Does not hang as low as a TrueTrack and won't interfere if you want a centerstand.
It does a good job...I swear it is 100 times better then it was....very solid almost everywhere. I still get that wallow/wobble in some tighter sweepers at 80 mph (one I know in particular) but not often. I'm trying some different settings in my shocks and tires, but so far have not fixed it. I just backoff slightly and it goes way.
I spoke with the mechanic at the dealer about the affects on the frame and he could see no issue with using one.

I have a Trutrack on my Ultra. I also had it on my '05 Road King. It made a HUGE difference in handling on the sweepers especially when loaded like we ususlly are. It does reduce clearance on hard right turns I scrap it at times. The edge of it is getting tapered enough so that it does not happen very often anymore.

I will on the next tire change (didn't change my front this time)....
Final wobble may just go away with the new tire... I have to admit we found the rear had thrown its weight and it was already pretty worn when I put on the stablizer. Won't know until I get to ride the darn thing.

I have a riding bud who has metz 880's on his Ultra and he loves'um. I'm in the same boat as you, just changed out my rear, had to use the Dunlop to match the front. Will go with something other than the 402's

I have had a Tru Track on the Road Glide for three years/45k miles now, it works great. I don't think that any of the stabilizers are better as they all preform the same function. Although, if I was to do it again I would use one that mounts above the tranny. That said, none of them work as well as the new '09 chassis, you've got to ride one, they are sweet!
