This coming Saturday morning 3 other guys and myself will be riding up the 5 to the 99 with stops at the H-D dealers in Bakersfield, Visalia, the 2 dealers in Fresno then Yosemite H-D in Merced.

We'll cut across the 140 to Santa Nella for the night then head over to the H-D dealer in Los Banos Sunday morning.

Then it's on the boring but most direct 5 back down to the L.A. area.

Anybody ride that stretch of 140 lately? Any concerns with conditions at night? Wildlife or any other road hazards?

It will be a fast paced day with only 30 minutes allowed per stop in order to make all of Day 1's stops before the Merced doors close. If it gets to hectic we'll just skip Merced and leave it for next time.

Don't have much of a "bucket list" of things to do before I die but visiting every H-D dealer in Calif is on the very short list.

I've visited every dealer from this side of the Mexican border to Santa Cruz on the coast. Just need to get these remaining ones this weekend to complete the bottom half of the state.

I have a map of Calif on my office's wall with the freebie dealer key chains marking each visit I have already made.

38 dealers visited so far. Just a bit over half down with 30+ more to go.

Started by buying t-shirts but after I realized I didn't have the room to store 70+ t-shirts I switched to the ultra compact and free dealer keychains.

Should be a nice next couple of days for riding (in So Cal at least) so everyone please have a fun and safe riding weekend.

Sounds like a fun trip... well except the Merced part

If I didn't have family obligations I'd chase you guys down and eventually catch up.

Have a great time.  When you get up this way next, be sure to let us know.

Rhubarb is such a ho. He won't ride with you and he won't ride with me.   ROTFL  Now I'm gonna get an ass kickin'.  Have fun riding Primo, I'll be doing the same thing in Death Valley.  I don't think they have HD dealers there do they?

I wish I was riding with both of you.

This time of year really cuts into my riding time.

Have a gret trip BeachBagger. If this other ride wasn't already planned for awhile the Death Valley Run would have been nice.

Let us know all the details. It's a ride I'd like to make.

( I have a high mileage buddy from West Covine (so cal) who has done Death Valley several times as a day trip. Too crazy for me.)

Primo:

Have a great ride. We stopped at Bakersfield andVisalia HD last June on a trip thru the valley. Both are really nice dealerships and good people.

Have fun and be safe.
