Got an email this morning from Santa Cruz Harley stating that they closed their doors for the last time last night.
According to them the factory was not supportive even though they had an investor lined up.
That makes at least 3 H-D stores closing down in the last 2 years in California.
Primo
P.S. Was going to post in Pacific Region forum but looks like it's more ride related. By all means feel free to move this if deemed appropriate.

We lost one down here but I don't know if it counts.. Biggs Harley-Davidson in Oceanside closed this year. First they said it was being re-modeled, later we were informed that it will not re-open. It was their second location, Biggs San Marcos is their main location and is for sale.
@ 'tattooed gut' Rhubarb you've lost weight

Yep that was one I was thinking of. The other one that I know of was Watsonville? Maybe?
Can't remember now but they were a satellite store of Santa Cruz's that closed down last April or May I believe.

Talk about MY bad timing -- I'm riding down to Santa Cruz on Saturday -- it takes me 3 years to finally ride down there and I'm 2 days too late --- story of my life !

Hi-I am not logged in very often-but I tend to hang around and watch posts. The H-D store in Placerville(hang town) closed down in 2007. It was a sattelite store from Auburn. I have a feeling that there will be more before spring.

The dealer in San Juan Capistrano is closing in Jan. They say they will open in another location, but I doubt it.
