6 of us road out to Acton for a breakfast burrito this morning, then headed back through the canyons.  New girl was on her first group ride,  think we have another convert!  Just can't beat this SoCal weather.

What a great morning for a ride! Looks like you had a nice one too.

Can't wait for my back to get better so I can get out there too!

N*********E*********TIme!!!  Take it easy until that back heals COMPLETELY.  There are lots of roads and lots of time to enjoy them, and we'd love to explore them with you!

This is the first post I have seen of a group ride since I discovered this site. If you don't mind, I'm always looking for some one to ride with on weekends.

If you could post a time and place the evening before, maybe I could join you.

Has been a wierd year for us.  We are usually out so much more.

If you have some ride ideas post them up...others might be looking too!

I live in Santa Clarita,  just over the hill from Bev and Simi.  Couldn't see where you live, and "SoCal" is a big place.

We (5 or 6 of us) are out almost every weekend if just for a breakfast or lunch run.

I live in Torrance. The guy I ride with the most is a Realtor, so he works a lot of weekends. I'm tied up during the week so I only ride on the weekends.

I'll post when I am going to do a ride from now on, and if you don't mind having me, post up yourself, maybe we can hook up.

Look forward to meeting you.

Hey Wastegate,

2009 was an odd one for lots of us.  We usually do tons of smaller group rides and a couple bigger ones.

My excuse is a new baby, but Don and I did a ton of riding as I did the baby countdown.  I think we did near 2k miles in may just on saturdays.

I'm still somewhat limited in my free time (baby is 7 months now) but I'm sure I'll be down in LA again soon.

Just in November we did a couple small groups down that way.  MountainKowboy, Partyball and myself rode big bear mountain, then several of us rode simi to Ojai and Frazier park before I headed off home.

I agree, we need more group rides and I think 2010 will be the year.

I look forward to meeting all of you. Sounds like you all have a great personal bond here. That's a good thing!

Thanks

Hey wastegate, a few of us live closer to You. I'm in Mar Vista/Culver city area, and I regularly go up the coast to Santa barbara/Ojai. I even sneak out during the week and go up to neptunes for lunch.MIKE

Hey Mike,

Ojai is a good ride. I also go in the other direction. There is a nice ride that goes east thru Beumont and then the 79 thru Hemet and out to the 15. I usually take the 74 and stop and Hells Kitchen for a bite on the way home.

We'll have to see how the week end weather shapes up. Maybe we can get a ride organized.

Craig

Funny you should mention Hells Kitchen... I'm wearing my HK T-shirt as I'm reading this.  I was just thinking about our trip through there when I put it on tonight!

Maybe a nice ride to Idyllwild after all the snow melts, then on to Hells Kitchen on the way home?
